Necklaces with tie-dyed bone beads from Africa //
Bone beads from Africa decorated with batik technique. The light parts are covered with wax, then the beads are dipped in dark plant dye and the wax is then removed. This creates different patterns. Soft balsa wood is pressed into the middle so that the beads can be threaded. These beads are made in the Central Sahara.
